Arrrrrr Mateys!

Ahoy Mateys!  This week Patchwork Preschool Provo be learnin' the "ar" sound.  So avast!  Today be Pirate Day!  Our very own scurvey dogs be doin' some mighty big pirate activities like:

 walkin' the plank!

Squeezin' onto deserted islands...

a treasure hunt, and more...

Ye best be sleepin' with one eye open, because our pirates be on the loose!  Arrrrr!

The Ants Go Marching...

The 4 year old class at Patchwork Preschool is now learning all about bugs of every shape and size!  Before you can say, "Ewwwww!" check out the cool ant antennas we made and how much fun we had marching one by one...Hurrah!  Hurrah!

Happy Hippos & Hats!

A couple of weeks ago, our three year old class at Patchwork Preschool discovered a very happy hippopotamus that loves hats!  We tried on lots of different kinds of hats too!  Which is your favorite?

107 Years Young!

Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!  We love your wonderful books!  So today at Patchwork Preschool Provo, we celebrated your 107th birthday by reading "The Cat in the Hat," making ourselves some hats of our own, and eating a brownie in your honor!  

How Does The Mail Get To Us?

Today Patchwork Preschool took a tour of the post office to see what happens to the mail when we drop it off!  

We saw all the back rooms of the post office where they sort the mail.  We also learned that most of the sorting is done at night when we are asleep!

 

We watched this machine sort 7-8 letters per second!  It was so fast, the letters were a blur!

We saw lots of mail stacked in bins ready to go to this place or that place.

Thanks for the tour, Mark!  We had a great time and learned a lot!

After the tour, we all got to personally mail some letters to our grandparents!  We can't wait to get some mail in return!
